About Hot Diggity

Hot Diggity’s Pedigree

Hot Diggity, a boutique for dogs, was inspired by the unbelievable amount of love we had for our Goldens, Bailey & Chase. We searched all over for high quality dog products including unique collars and leashes, interactive & tough toys, organic, all-natural and raw food options as well as some tasty, healthy and safe gourmet treats for our pals. We had a hard time however finding what we were looking for, so we decided to create a place where pampered pups would find everything they and their owners could ever want.

When visiting Hot Diggity you will find everything from nautical collars and leashes to luxurious beds, organic toys, all natural and raw food and gourmet bakery treats. We take pride in the customer service we offer and hope that your dog will accompany you the next time you visit Hot Diggity.

After 8 years in the business, we have expanded! On April 14, 2012 we held the grand opening of our second location, 677 Main Street in Dennis Port. The Dennis Port store, called Hot Diggity Dog Wash & Boutique, offers all the good things you can find in our Mashpee Commons store, as well as a self-serve dog wash and full-service grooming.

If you saw something at Hot Diggity that you don’t see at our online store, please call us and we will be happy to process your order over the phone. Additionally, if there is anything you think we should carry that we don’t, please let us know! We are always bringing in new items at the suggestions of our loyal customers.

Who You’ll Meet When Visiting The Digs

Winnie

We at the Digs like to call Winnie the Assistant Manager or more accurately, The Boss. Winnie is quite the mix known by some as a Hush Basset (Basset Hound Cocker Spaniel cross) that was adopted through Mutts4Rescue. Her ears are clear and her coat is shiny thanks to the BARF diet which she has been on for several years. She enjoys chasing her Dog Dizzy treat dispenser, cleaning up crumbs from the treat barrels, sniper attacks and looking incredibly pathetic. More often then not she can found behind the counter, sleeping on the job.

Chase

Only a lucky few will get to see Chase at Hot Diggity. He is like the Phantom Gourmet of Dogs. Sometimes he is there, most often he is not. Chase has the energy of a pup, despite being only weeks away from celebrating his 14th birthday.  With diminished sight and hearing, his sniffer is working overtime and boy does he love the fish skin treats and duck feet! Chase is currently thriving on the BRAVO raw diet with a special blend of salmon oil, probiotics, Myristin and NK-9 to keep him healthy and sprite.

Cooper

CooperCooper is a gentle soul in a giant body and has decided that 2 years of working as the assistant manager was enough. He graciously resigned from the position so Queen Winnie could step in. Cooper loves to play and swim and has become a true Cape Cod dog.  He was lovingly rescued from a shelter in Tennessee by his mom Ashley. His favorite toys are Bailey’s Bees and his favorite treats are Vital Essential’s freeze-dried niblets. He is lucky that his mom is the manager of the store because it provides him with a variety of raw protein dinners by Stella & Chewy’s and BRAVO. When he’s been really good, he gets a dollop of Weruva canned in his dinner and it sends him into orbit!

Trix

Trix loves Hot Diggity. Plain and simple. You can find him at The Digs in Mashpee after his Thursday morning agility class. He loves all his co-workers and he especially loves sniffing around the store to see who has recently been in. When not training in agility and field, he can be found begging anyone to throw him the ball. Planet Dog is his favorite, but if one is not available, he’ll take what he can get. Trix currently is enjoying the same raw diet as his brother Chase.

Ripple

Ripple is the newest member of the Hot Diggity family. Born on January 28, 2012 he arrived on Cape Cod on March 24th ready to torment his brothers Chase and Trix, train for agility and hunting and entertain us all. He is as sweet as can be! Ripple is thriving on the raw diet and as you can see from the picture, he is LOVING his elk antlers! Incidentally, so are we: it saves our fingers and toes from those sharp puppy teeth!

Frankie

Frankie is a 4 year old Pug adopted from the MSPCA at 9 weeks. Frankie’s favorite things in life are playing with his big brother Jakey, running in the woods with all his doggie friends and working at Hot Diggity with his mom, Jen. When he is at work he loves greeting everyone who comes through the door, taste testing every batch of duck feet, and snuggling with his girl pal Winnie.

Jakey

Jakey is an 11 year old Canaan/Cattle Dog cross adopted from the MSPCA at 11 months. Jakey also enjoys his hikes in the woods with his doggie friends, snuggling and guiding his little brother Frankie and working at Hot Diggity. Jakey has always been a gentle old soul and if you see him at The Digs he will greet you with a gentle nose poke and usually roll over for a belly rub.

Gladys

Gladys had a very big job to do, and she has done it quite well. In the Fall of 2009, my mom, Kathy,  asked me to go look at this little dog that was in a foster home. She was looking for a new friend after losing Jasmine that summer. We drove the 2 hours to meet Gladys and it was love at first site. Gladys is a little firecracker: don’t let the name fool you! She can hold her own and she does it well as she plays with every kind of dog imaginable. She is as sweet as can be and loves to play with her pals Chase and Trix. She has been the perfect little companion for my mom, and anytime Kathy is working, you are sure to find Gladys there with her.

At the Rainbow Bridge…

Jasmine

Jasmine or “Jazzy” as we affectionately called her, was my mom’s Golden until she joined her pal Bailey at the Rainbow Bridge in July of 2009. She was one of the original three Goldens to work at Hot Diggity. Her beautiful portrait-style photo continues to hang above the collars in Hot Diggity, where her sweet face brings smiles to all who see it.

Bailey

Bailey, our beloved Golden whom without there would be no Hot Diggity. We lost Bailey in August of 2008 at the age of 13.5 to hemangeosarcoma. He was a once in a lifetime dog who will forever hold a huge place in our hearts.

Cassie

A sweet and loyal companion to our first manager, Jess. Cassie crossed the Rainbow Bridge in June of 2008 and is often remembered by customers whose hearts she touched while working at Hot Diggity.
